Advocacy and Campaigns

Vicsport Policy Agenda

Vicsport’s annual Policy Agenda presents the priorities of the sport and active recreation in Victoria.

Vicsport’s Policy Agendas are based on significant consultation with our members and stakeholders at all levels of the Victorian sport and active recreation industry. The latest Vicsport Policy Agenda, “More Victorians in the Game” was released in August 2014. Visit the Policy Agenda page.

Are You On Board? Campaign

Vicsport has developed the ‘Are You on Board?’ (AYOB) campaign to support conversation and action around diversity and inclusion within Victorian sport. The campaign aims to raise awareness and assist State Sport Associations, Clubs, Leagues and Associations to spread the message about the benefits of diversity and inclusion to Victorian sport.

This campaign encourages you to take the lead and embrace and encourage diversity within your organisation to achieve the best results for your sport.

Visit the Are you on Board? page and view the videos for more details.

Research

We promote evidence based decision making, policy, strategy and programming in sport and active recreation. We are an active partner providing support and input into a range of research projects and advisory groups across the industry.

Find links to research portals and hubs that provide Victoria’s sport and active recreation industry with a wide range of relevant information and contemporary research on the Research page.

Policy Agenda

In August we released our Policy Agenda on behalf of its 170 member groups which consist of 16,000 clubs and associations, 1.8 million people playing sport and being active, paid staff and volunteers.

It is now more critical than ever to get more Victorians regularly participating in and playing sport, using Victoria’s sporting excellent facilities and joining Victoria’s sports clubs and teams whether for fun and friendship or for the challenge of competition.
