Training for Coaches
vicsport offers a range of Australian Sports Commision Coaching courses as well as an inclusive coaching course that can be tailored to an organisations needs. A brief summary of the courses can be found below.

Assessor /presenter

Following the Australian Sports Commission’s course guidelines, this course is vital for sports in the training and support of their coach educators. |

Again, following the Australian Sports Commission’s course guidelines this is important for those sports that value mentoring in their coach education structure. |
| Beginning Coaching general principles |
This entry level NCAS coach education course is available FREE online or can also be delivered in a face to face course. |
| Intermediate Coaching general principles |
This general principles course is generally available on-line, although specific modules or all day courses are available on request. |
| Modifying and adapting to include all |
Inclusive coaches are good coaches. This workshop looks at how to modify to better include all. vicsport will ensure that all relevant specific sports inclusive content is covered so that in most cases participants will be able to again NCAS updating points. The workshop requires a practical space and participants to be dressed for light physical activity, and a bit of fun! |

Beginning Coaching General Principles
The Beginning Coaching General Principles online course has been developed by the ASC to assist new coaches improve their basic coaching skills, in particular those coaches working with children. Coaches can complete the course in their own time from the comfort of their own home. The course is free of charge to Australian Coaches but please check with your preferred sport with regards to the accreditation requirements for that sport
Intermediate Coaching General Principles
Some sports require coaches to undertake this program prior to doing their level 2 or 3 accredited courses. Please check the requirements of your sport before pursuing this program. vicsport Education is the deliverer of this program in Victoria.

It is highly recommended that you purchase the manual to aid you in answering the assessment questions. This course can be completed online once you have registered but Leesa can assist with any concerns you have or will conduct face to face sessions to assist with some of the more complex modules if necessary. There is a cost for this program and additional cost for any face to face sessions. There are 13 modules to this program and the cost for all 13 modules is currently $210 and they are available for download from the ASC website:

Completed modules can be forwarded to Leesa for assessment either electronically or via hard copy to our vicsport address Level 3, Sports House, 375 Albert Road, South Melbourne Vic 3205. Please make sure you keep a copy.
